Founder & CEO

Joseph "Joey" Belmont is the founder and driving force behind EPIC Energies, where he integrates renewable energy systems with real estate to create scalable, sustainable solutions. With a background in commercial leasing and investment, Joey previously worked at Belmont Investment Corp and later founded Everfresh Endeavors, acquiring and revitalizing the LIME Fresh Mexican Grill brand. His leadership in these ventures has shaped his approach to solving global challenges in energy, food, and agriculture. At EPIC Energies, Joey focuses on delivering resilient, cleaner energy solutions for real estate that balance both aesthetics and ROI.A graduate of Cornell University, where he was a nationally recruited rower, Joey is also a poet, songwriter, and servant of Jesus Christ. He is deeply inspired by Matthew 28:20: “Know That I Am With You Always, even unto the End of the World.” Outside of business, he serves on the boards of two energy companies and one cyber solutions firm, with a commitment to sharing Truth and Love through his work and mission.

Maximillian "Max" Dorne

Maximilian "Max" Dorne is President of EPIC Energies, where he leads development strategy and real estate integration, focusing on sustainable solutions and economic performance. With over 15 years of experience across multiple asset classes in New Jersey and New York, Max specializes in integrating environmental responsibility and energy efficiency into resilient, value-driven projects.Prior to EPIC Energies, Max was a Partner at Claremont Development, helping grow the firm's AUM to over $3 billion by overseeing mixed-use, multifamily, industrial, and commercial storage projects. Max believes in aligning purpose with disciplined execution and is passionate about building teams that navigate complex challenges and create lasting value. He holds a Bachelor's in City & Regional Planning from Cornell University and a graduate degree in Real Estate Development from Columbia University. Max is actively involved in the real estate community through advisory roles, speaking engagements, and mentorship for young professionals.

Parker Justi

Parker Justi joined EPIC Energies in 2025 as Chief Legal Officer. Before joining EPIC, Parker was CEO, President and General Counsel of a family-owned specialty chemical manufacturer. Before going in-house, Parker began his legal career at a large law firm, representing businesses in corporate and commercial litigation. Parker is a member of the Delaware bar, and holds a JD/MBA from Villanova University, as well as a BA from the University of Pennsylvania. He lives with his wife and two kids in Nashville, TN, and in his free time, enjoys cooking and playing squash. -

B.D. Erickson II is the Chief Innovation Officer at EPIC Energies, where he leads technology integration, manufacturing partnerships, and infrastructure strategy to scale renewable energy systems. With decades of experience in energy systems and clean power manufacturing, B.D. brings a wealth of expertise in developing and implementing advanced energy solutions.Since 2006, B.D. has served as CEO of Satic USA, a leading clean energy product manufacturer, and founder of Satic Solar, Montana's top solar company. He has pioneered proprietary technologies, optimized manufacturing processes, and built robust international supply chains to support U.S. infrastructure. Earlier in his career, B.D. co-founded ICAN International and LifePath Unlimited, where he authored training courses and developed leadership programs.
A graduate of Colorado Technical University with degrees in Business Administration and Applied Science, B.D. has also received advanced training in export strategy and manufacturing excellence. His leadership ethos is grounded in the belief: "Leaders don't pass the torch—they light more torches."

Brad Layton

Brad Layton is the Chief Engineer at EPIC Energies, where he oversees the design, integration, and performance of next-generation energy and infrastructure solutions. With decades of expertise in biomedical mechanics, sustainable energy systems, and engineering leadership, Brad brings a systems-level approach to creating scalable, clean, and cost-effective energy solutions.Brad holds a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering from MIT and a Master's and PhD in Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering from the University of Michigan. He has served in leadership roles at Drexel University and the University of Montana, where he developed nationally recognized programs in applied energy systems and sustainable engineering. An accomplished entrepreneur, Brad has co-founded clean-tech startups like Final Cycles, Neodymia, and Montana Critical Metals, using circular economy principles to solve environmental challenges.
As a member of the 1996 US Olympic Rowing Team, Brad brings his hard work and dedication daily to lead the EPIC Engineering team. His research and thought leadership have been featured in numerous peer-reviewed publications and industry journals.

Jack Ranney is the Vice President of Sales & Operations at EPIC Energies, where he brings over 8 years of experience in sales leadership, strategic operations, and client relations. With a strong background in scaling operations and building high-performing teams, Jack drives EPIC's strategic expansion and oversees business development across all phases of project execution.Before joining EPIC, Jack built a successful career in media and advertising, managing multi-million-dollar sales portfolios and cultivating long-term partnerships with national brands. He holds a degree in Labor Studies and Employment Relations from Rutgers University, with a minor in Economics. Jack is passionate about forging sustainable partnerships and leading operational excellence across new and emerging markets.

Callixte "Cal" Matala

Callixte "Cal" Matala is an international business strategist and urban development leader, advising EPIC Energies on projects that intersect clean energy access, community building, and strategic partnerships. Fluent in four languages, Cal brings a wealth of expertise in finance, real estate, and infrastructure development to his role, helping bridge the gap between capital, government, and the communities EPIC serves.Cal's career spans financial services, real estate, and healthcare. He began as a Commercial Account Manager at The Royal Bank of Canada, where he advised ultra-high-net-worth clients on capital optimization and risk management. Transitioning into real estate, Cal launched a construction company and founded Canada Business Expo Ltd, a consulting firm helping companies expand into Canadian and African markets. In 2020, he founded Kingsridge, a visionary urban development project in Kinshasa, DRC, focused on sustainable, smart city infrastructure. He also owns a specialized medical clinic in Edmonton, Alberta, providing telehealth-supported care for complex conditions.
Driven by his faith in Jesus Christ, Cal is deeply committed to empowering communities through sustainable development. He divides his time between Edmonton and Kinshasa, leading initiatives that promote infrastructure, entrepreneurship, and regional growth.

Gisele Baganda

Gisele Baganda is an internationally recognized strategist in sustainable infrastructure, renewable energy, and climate finance, leading EPIC Energies' efforts in strategic partnerships, ESG innovation, and public-private engagement. With over a decade of experience in cross-border investments, Gisele ensures that every EPIC project is designed for scalability, sustainability, and long-term value.She is currently the General Manager of RICC, Africa's largest community-based carbon credit initiative, covering over 10 million hectares, and positioning the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) as a rising climate finance hub. At EPIC Energies, Gisele leads renewable and off-grid solutions, focusing on integrating recyclable, long-life battery technologies with solar power. She also owns and directs Texada Paving, expanding its reach into critical infrastructure projects in the DRC, and is the visionary behind High Hope Corporation, which is developing Kinshasa's first integrated smart city.
A founding member of the Kinshasa Exchange, Gisele is committed to enhancing financial transparency and inclusion. Through her nonprofit New Life Organization, she champions programs in education, clean water, food security, and women-led entrepreneurship. A quadrilingual leader, fluent in French, English, Swahili, and Lingala, Gisele holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a focus on finance from Quebec University.

With a keen eye for detail, Jessica coordinates with installation crews, manages specialized parts ordering, and ensures seamless communication between homeowners, dealers, and internal teams. Her ability to adapt quickly to fast-moving environments and provide high-level support in sales, logistics, and customer service plays a crucial role in delivering clean energy solutions on time and on budget.Jessica's professional journey began in the fields of childcare, healthcare, and education, where she built a foundation of clear communication, reliability, and leadership. Transitioning into renewable energy, she brought her strong organizational skills and analytical mindset to EPIC Energies, becoming an indispensable part of the team. Jessica's leadership style is both approachable and results-driven, always ensuring that every solar project reflects the company's commitment to integrity and excellence.

Lily is a dynamic professional with a proven track record in bringing new products to market and creating high-impact content across platforms. As part of EPIC Energies, Lily leverages her ability to translate complex technical concepts into accessible, results-driven messaging, helping shape the company's brand identity and expand its international reach. Her leadership in business development, brand building, and internal operations has been pivotal in driving EPIC Energies' growth, particularly in launching new product lines, improving customer education, and managing large-scale ecommerce platforms.Lily studied geography and climate change at the University of Montana, specializing in renewable energy and environmental systems. In 2016, she founded Burton Productions LLC, a full-service video production and marketing company serving high-level corporate clients and universities across the U.S. Her expertise in visual storytelling, media strategy, and brand positioning continues to fuel her work at EPIC Energies.
Since joining EPIC Energies, Lily has played a key leadership role in marketing, executive support, and customer service. She has contributed significantly to enhancing the customer experience, and supporting EPIC Energies' mission to deliver clean, sustainable energy solutions that improve overall efficiency.
